Lexi

My first own dog!

After an intensive search, I found this Princess!!

Going down to Stockholm and visit the Kennel Cartier Monzerat there I meet the breeder Jaana and all her dogs - It was a time!

It was just to wait for the day with a big D.

And in May 1998 the day come, the breeder came up with my puppy in connection with an dog exhibition.

Lexi was a girl who had a lot of everything! Unfortunately, she was hit by a car when she was 3 years old.
I felt panic is not possible to describe. Going quickly to the veterinarian who would like to close and did not want to let us in, but after a time we get in!  X-ray showed nothing but i was a risk of internal injuries, it was just to wait and see. But it went well, no more veterinarian visits for the time. But i visit the police station to make a notice and tell them that a person  drove to my dog that was tied and stood beside me next to the roadside…
Nothing happened to my notice and after a little research,  it was not surprising,  because the man who drove in to Lexi was a police!

A year after the accident I noticed that when Lexi had been still or resting a long time she step up and limpt the first steps. So I went to the veterinarian for a new X-ray. The images were sent to Mr.Audell who had read of her plates at 1 year of age with the statement whitout remarks. I got a letter from Mr.Audell  which he declared that the hit from the car had damaged the entire hip suspension.
So our careers went every short, because after that i retried Lexi.
Lexi was a alive and could so far live with the injury. Extra glucosamine and the right activity, but no more hard training or
 competition.

Lexi had a huge personality, most of them who meet her tell me that also.

Lexi was a very happy retired dog!!
Lexi got "gastric dilatation volvulus".
And was put to sleep 2008-09-06

Lexi had a fine last day, we were at the dogclub and we trained agility that she really loved!
It is so unreal that the situation can be changed so dramatically in just a few hours.
